Official Press Release
✨ A historic day for HFE – Humanitarian for Empowerment ✨
Today, a new chapter is being written.
Humanitarian for Empowerment has signed a historic and unique agreement with the Government of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the Philippe and Elisabeth Dufour Foundation.
This agreement goes far beyond a simple partnership:
it represents a promise of lasting change, an opportunity to transform lives, and to strengthen a healthcare system built upon shared values — respect, equity, and collaboration.
🤝 This equal partnership paves the way for tangible projects, particularly in the field of prosthetics for amputees, as well as in other areas of medicine and surgery, where innovation and humanity come together.
The President of HFE, Dr. Surennaidoo Naiken MD, FMH, FEBS, FACS, EMBA, had the honor of initialing and signing this agreement alongside Sri Lankan authorities, marking the beginning of an exemplary collaboration between nations, institutions, and hearts united by a common vision: restoring dignity and independence to those who need it most.
🌍 Together, we prove that by joining forces, it is possible to change lives, systems — and even history.
✨ Restoring dignity is bringing back the light. ✨
For us at HFE – Humanitarian for Empowerment, as for every dedicated physician, the greatest satisfaction cannot be measured in numbers or statistics — it lies in the restored dignity of a patient, in the renewed independence of a person who finds their place in life once again.
Tomorrow will be a symbolic day, not only in Sri Lanka but also in many countries around the world: the Day of Light. 🌍💫 The celebration of Diwali.
With immense gratitude, we are delighted to announce that tomorrow, a major new initiative will be revealed — a large-scale project made possible thanks to the generous support of the Philippe and Elisabeth Dufour Foundation and the coordination of Humanitarian for Empowerment.
Join us tomorrow to discover how, together, we have brought back light and dignity to those who needed it most. 💛
Visite inspirante au Colombo Orthopedic Hospital
Great visit at the Colombo Orthopedic Hospital 🇱🇰 — we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine collaboration.
Grateful for the insightful discussions and the strong perspectives ahead for advancing surgical care and rehabilitation.
Kateryna Naiken represented the HFE – Humanitarian for Empowerment Foundation, Danièla Dufour represented the Philippe and Elisabeth Dufour Foundation, and I had the honor to represent the medical and surgical side, following my talk at the International Trauma Congress.
When purpose, partnership, and passion align — great things happen.
